On 13th January 2020, Dr. Dimitry Spivak (Head of the Center for Fundamental Research in Culture at the Institute of Cultural and Natural Heritage named after D. S. Likhachev, UNESCO Chair) was invited to take part in a TV program dedicated to making a comparative overview of traditions associated with celebrating the New Year in various cultures.

Dr. Spivak was the keynote speaker of the corresponding 30-minute program created by LenTV channel in St.Petersburg, Russia. He shared about the new year traditions that are practised in Russia and the meanings associated with the traditions.
