The UNESCO Chair “Memory, Cultures and Interculturality” of UCLy is organizing a public conference on Monday, July 19, 2021 from 5:30 pm to 8 pm on the Saint-Paul campus of the University.
This conference, on “Sung Resistance: Songs of Resistance to Apartheid in South Africa”, is organized on the occasion of Nelson Mandela International Day (2021 Edition). Its purpose is to honour all the artists who have contributed to freeing humanity from the apartheid system, one of the worst crimes against humanity during the twentieth century.è century (cf. Resolution 3068 XXVIII of the General Assembly of the United Nations of 30 November 1973).
