Digital Learning Week, UNESCO’s flagship event, will be held from 2 to 5 September 2025, at UNESCO Headquarters, in Paris, France.
Registration and call for proposals are now open.
Digital Learning Week is UNESCO’s premier event dedicated to exploring digital learning and the evolution of education. Introduced in 2023, this gathering brings together digital education leaders, policymakers, researchers, and practitioners from various sectors, including UN agencies, governments, NGOs, and the private sector, all aimed at leveraging technology to enhance education.
This week-long event offers a valuable platform for engaging in thought-provoking discussions and lively debates, collaborating on essential resources and tools, and accessing innovative ideas from leading experts in the field. The goal is to inspire critical thinking and foster meaningful partnerships as we collectively work towards an ethical and human-centered approach to the digital transformation of education, inviting everyone to “reimagine our futures together.”
UNESCO has announced that, under the theme of AI and the future of education: Disruptions, dilemmas and directions, Digital Learning Week aims to “assist in charting pathways for equitable, ethical and human-driven AI integration in education, ensuring technology serves as a force for inclusive progress.”
In the world today, digital learning has enormous importance for intercultural understanding and inter-religious dialogue, and vice versa. Last year, members of the IDIU Network participated in a workshop around driving intercultural outcomes through digital literacy where they explored these ideas.
Call for proposals for presentations during the event are now open and applications need to be in before 19 May 2025.
