A lecture on “The Power of Dialogue in Encountering the Sectarian Conflict in Iraq”
The Chairholder of the UNESCO Chair for Dialogue at Kufa University, Dr. Hassan Nadhem presented a lecturer at Bitzer College in Los Angeles on February 18, 2020. The lecture was part of the well-known Spring Lectures Series at MCSI, that have been organized by the Director of the MCSI, Dr. Ahmed Alwishah. It dealt with the topic of dialogue, its philosophy, and its reality in Iraq.
Participation in a Joint Project on US-Europe-Iraq Cooperation
The Chairholder of the UNESCO Chair for Dialogue at Kufa University, Dr. Hassan Nadhem participated in the first Dialogue of the new joint project: a US-Europe-Iraq Track II Dialogue held in Berlin, Germany on 2-4, March 2020.

During a period of increasing nationalism, the relentless itinerary of a virus that is heedless of national boundaries is telling us, in piercing tones, that we are all indeed connected to each other, that we are one globe, one world. The virus is telling us that our work with UNESCO matters. This is good.
