To continue the dialogue on Transforming Knowledge for Africa’s Future, this Priority Africa Flagship Working Session is designed as an open discussion on the implementation of the Flagship Programme 2: The General History of Africa (GHA), which aims to promote inclusive, just and peaceful African societies. Initiated in 1964 and continuing today, the GHA serves as an authentic African library and a tribute to African knowledge, demonstrating mastery in the production of historical knowledge through its use of diverse sources, multidisciplinary approaches, and rigorous cross-referencing.
