The Youth for Peace: UNESCO Intercultural Leadership Programme is open for applications.

The deadline to apply is 22 June 2025 at 23:59 CET (Paris time).

This new flagship initiative aims to empower emerging leaders (ages 25–45) to harness intercultural dialogue as a tool to foster social cohesion and peace. The first edition of the Programme will focus on the theme: “Learning to Collaborate for a Shared Future: Using Dialogue to Foster Social Cohesion in a World on the Move.”
Over the course of the programme, 50 selected participants will:

  1. Engage in online training workshops in September 2025, exploring concepts, methods, and tools to foster dialogue to address intercultural challenges in contexts of high migratory flows;
  2. Receive a USD 10,000 grant to implement a community project (October 2025-May 2026) aligned with this theme;
  3. Access ongoing mentorship, peer learning opportunities, and capacity development;
  4. Attend an in-person knowledge sharing and advocacy forum in April 2026 in Guangzhou, China;
  5. Join UNESCO’s Global Alumni Network for sustained engagement.
