On May 5, 2024, Professor Dimitri Spivak, UNESCO Chair on Comparative Studies of Spiritual Traditions, their Specific Cultures, and Interreligious Dialogue, was invited to take part in a panel discussion, titled ‘Uniting Cultures and Traditions in Modern Intercultural Projects’.
The discussion took place in the context of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which is a truly global event, held in the city of St. Petersburg, Russia. This year, more than 17,000 participants from around 130 different countries participated in the event.
Professor Spivak spoke about intercultural rapprochement in the cultural strategy of UNESCO, as well as raising the topic of the Moscow Declaration on Safeguarding Indigenous Languages (2022).
